Place a solid block (wood or metal works best) on top of the stamp. This helps to spread the pressure evenly. Apply slow, downward pressure with the press and hold it for 15-20 seconds. Check your result. Repeat as needed to get the perfect depth. Vise Instructions: Put your cased leather and the stamp between two hard objects, like a board. Squeeze them tightly so the stamp does not move. Place this setup inside your vise. Tighten the vise slowly and hold the pressure for 15-20 seconds.
